“Come and eat breakfast by the fire.”

John Chapter 3 verses 9 – 13

As soon as the disciples had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.  Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish…. and although there were so many, the net was not broken. Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ once sat down with his disciples around a camp fire and spoke to them about the Kingdom of Heaven and their role to help with “feeding the sheep”.

This blog seeks to light a small flame from God’s word, and will hopefully encourage the reader to draw closer to the amazing grace that God offers to all of us.

My name is Ian, I live in rural Bedfordshire, England.  My desire is to share some thoughts from the bible the word of God.  So why embrace the notion of a Campfire? Well I enjoy camping and especially the campfire.   Starting a fire with only a fire steel and smelling the smoke in the cool summer evening air is one of life’s beautiful moments. The camp fire allows you to sit and forget the worries of this world and concentrate on the more important spiritual side of life.
